History of Nelson Braxton

Nelson Braxton picked up the bass guitar in high school and quickly excelled at the instrument. He was given numerous citations for outstanding jazz performance by the California Music Educators Association. He was also selected to participate in the Monterey Jazz Festival's California All-State Big Band. Nelson furthered his studies as a music performance major at San Francisco State University, where he was awarded a certificate for outstanding performance as well as being selected to participate in Disney's All-American Collegiate Big-Band. A classically trained musician, Nelson toured Europe as principal tubist of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra.
Nelson began playing bass as a full time career in 1990, and has been professionally engineer, mixing, and producing since 1997. He has earned awards and critical aclaim as audio engineer from audiophile magazines and equipment manufacturers, as well as from world reknown artists.
